Call to Order The meeting was called to order by James Stephens
and Roll Call at 9:42 P.M. in the Council Chambers, Kalispell City
Hall. Roll call was taken.
Approval of Minutes Stephens called for any corrections or amendments

Motion Manning moved to approve the minutes. Sloan second-
ed. Motion carried.
Blue Chip K.B.T. Inc. Stephens asked if there was any discussion among
for B-6 Zoning the members regarding the Blue Chip K.B.T. Inc.
Classification zoning classification of B-6 (Resort Business) to
be known as "Blue Chip Addition."
Motion There being no di''scussion, Manning moved to approve
as per the Planning Staff's recommendation. Sloan
seconded. Motion carried.
Meridian Addition Sa ephens said this was a continuation of the evalua-
Zoning tion of zoning for the Meridian Addition along
Second Street West, west of Meridian Road to the
Burlington Northern Railroad right-of-way.
Mohn gave some background of the previous meeting
which lead to the invitation of interested parties
to attend this meeting for the purposes of addition-
al input.
Nancy Kostman indicated the desires for Forest Prod-
ucts Properties be designated industrial.
Bob Johnson, spokesman for.the Land Owners Associa-
tion in Storm's Addtion and Meridian Addtion, indi-
cated their desires were to allow all of the existing
uses, but they wished to have the limitations of
the existing zoning continued under a comparative
zone of the "new City Ordinance."
Chuck Houston, owner Meridian Addition, gave a his-
tory of how the non-residential uses have been per-
mitted by variance over the years. He also question-
ed the validity of some of the existing uses in terms
of the existing zoning, and also noted certain other
apparent City Code violations not related to zoning.
He summarized by saying that he wants to stop further
encroachment of non-residential uses.
Kostman and Johnson continued to debate the zoning
issues.
Motion Sloan moved to table any action until the next regu-
lar meeting to allow Zoning Commission members an
opportunity to inspect the area before making recom-
mendation to the City Council. Manning seconded.
Motion carried.
