02-14-84 Zoning CommissionCall to Order and Roll Call Approval of Minutes Election of Officers for 1984 KALISPELL CITY ZONING COMMISSION MINUTES February 14, 1984 Members Present Virginia Sloan Chuck Manning Ed Trippet James Stephens Members Absent Dave Shank Others Present James Mohn, Senior Planner,.F.R.D.O. 6 members of the public The meeting was called to order by Virginia Sloan, President, at 8:55 P.M. in the Council Chambers, Kalispell City Hall. Roll call was taken. Sloan called for any corrections or amendments to the minutes. Being none, they were approved as cir- culated. Sloan agreed with Trippet to rotate memberships. Trippet moved to nominate Stephens as President. Manning seconded. Motion carried. Trippet moved to nominate Manning as Vice -President. Stephens seconded. Motion carried. Stephens took over meeting as President. Zoning Mohn presented the F.R.D.O. report for the Heritage Heritage Health Health Center Addition, owned by Developer Diversi- Center Addition fied, and located on the northwest corner of the Simmons Addition, 700 feet north of Sunnyview Lane, and 400 feet east of U. S. Highway 93 North. Property is described as a portion of Assessors Tract 7E in Government Lot 6, NW4, SW4, Section 6, T28N, R21W, P.M.M., Flathead County, Montana. Developers Diversified have requested RA-1 (Residen- tial -Apartment) zoning for this property. The F.R.D.O. recommends approval of the requested RA-1 zone for the Heritage Health Center Addition. The Board discussed the issue and its relationship to the Comprehensive Plan. Motion Trippet moved to approve the request for an RA-1 zone for the Heritage Health Center Addition. Sloan seconded the motion. Motion carried. Zoning Stephens said this was a request from the Kalis- "Meridian Addition" pell City Council for review and recommendation on zoning, located along Second Street, West of Merid- ian. Mohn presented the F.R.D.O. report evaluation and recommendation. Discussion of the alternatives by both Board members and property owners resulted in the need for further discussion with other land owners within the District. It was decided by the Board that all land owners be invited to the next regular meeting of the Kalispell City Zoning Commis- sion which will be held March 13, 1984 for the pur- pose of developing the most appropriate recommenda- tion to be submitted to the City Council. Old Business None New Business Manning said the City Council is in the process of working on a reduction of zoning classifications for the City of Kalispell.
