My name is Lois Wagner and I live at 181 Lawrence Lane in Kalispell.
Thank you for all the work you do to make Kalispell a great place to live. and thank you for taking time to address the issues important to our community.
I’m speaking in support of Valley Neighbors and the excellent work they are doing in providing services and resources for those from other countries who come into Kalispell announced
and unannounced. There is no question that county and city resources are inadequate to meet all the needs that exist and it is overwhelming to contemplate responding to more needs.
I would hope that all those involved in making decisions about responding to the needs of those coming into the valley would realize and appreciate the support that a group of compassionate
and skilled individuals provide those immigrating from other countries. I have had the privilege of working as a volunteer in some minor roles and I’ve been positively impressed
with the determination and positive attitudes among those who have come through so much trauma and somehow arrived here in Kalispell. I hope we can work together in this city and county
to wrestle with these very difficult issues so that all in our community feel safe and welcome.
