SUBJECT: Appointment to the Impact Fee Advisory Committee
BACKGROUND: The purpose of the Impact Fee Advisory Committee is to review and monitor
the process of calculating, assessing, and spending impact fees and shall make recommendations
to City Council.
The Impact Fee Committee shall consist of a maximum of seven members. Members must be
either property owners, residents, or actively engaged in business or employment within the
Kalispell city limits. The Committee currently has three vacancies and one new application.
RECOMMENDATION: Mayor Johnson appoint Weston Gronley to the Impact Fee
Advisory Committee, followed by a motion from Council confirming approval of the
appointment.

I'm interested in being on the impact fee committee because it allows me to actively
participate in our community, fostering positive changes and relationships within it. Being
a part of this committee not only gives me the chance to make a meaningful impact but
also provides a valuable opportunity to learn and grow through the experience.
Ultimately, it aligns with my passion for community involvement, impact -driven work, and
personal development.

I have a strong foundation in business administration, which I will recieve my degree in
July 2024. My experience as the student government president has honed my leadership
abilities, fostering collaboration and communication within diverse groups. Additionally,
my involvement in various committees for schools, employers, and public affairs has
provided me with a nuanced understanding of community engagement and policy
implementation, making me well-equipped to contribute meaningfully to the impact fee
committee.
