Kalispell Hwy Frontage Public Comment from Vaughn PenrodCouncil Members
I have live in the Flathead for over 30 years and over the last 5 years I have watched as our county and town slowly turning into a Portland, Or. I own Penco Power Products on S Hwy
93 and have always done my best to represent the entrance to Kalispell with a well maintained store front. Over the last 5 years I have noticed that I’m one of few. It is as if business
owners don’t care anymore. If you drive out S 93 you will notice that sidewalks are not swept after winter, trash is not picked up and landscaping is not maintained.
I refuse to allow my property to look like shit, or to be a part of South Kalispell starting to resemble Portland, Or. I know that there are guidelines or laws that dictate how business
owners need to present their properties. Why are they not being in forced. I have voiced my concerns to several people regarding our deteriorating city and my concerns of South Hwy
93. I’m disappointed in the fact that I see no change when I voice my opinion to the folks that are supposed to care and it is their job. I would like to ask that you all just to take
a drive around Kalispell and truly ask yourself if you are proud of the city you represent. I’m sure not proud of it anymore. Show us you care
