Michael Miller, and Officer Seth Garner
MEETING DATE: March 18, 2024
BACKGROUND: Police Officers Tyler Daniels, Seth Garner, and Michael Miller have
completed their probationary period with the Kalispell Police Department. We are
recommending and requesting their confirmation as Patrol Officers.
Michael Miller came to us from North Dakota. Miller was employed for several years at
the Ward County Sheriff's Office and worked as the department's K9 handler before
joining KPD.
Seth Garner joined KPD from the Whitefish Police Department. He served in the US Army
as an Intel Analyst and was born and raised in the Flathead Valley. He also worked at the
Flathead County Detention Center before beginning his career in Law Enforcement.
Tyler Daniels moved to Montana from Northern California. He is active in his church,
enjoys volunteering in the community and is respected by his peers.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Council confirm Officer Michael
Miller, Officer Seth Garner, and Officer Tyler Daniels as Police Officers with the Kalispell
Police Department.
