Police Pursuit
On 3/8/2024 at 6pm, Kalispell Police Officers responded to the area of
College Avenue, for a report of a possible impaired driver sitting in a
vehicle. A Kalispell Police officer responded to the area and located the
suspect vehicle with a female sitting in the driver seat. The officer activated
his emergency lights and while approaching the car, the driver fled.
Multiple pedestrians had to move out of the way of the suspect as it sped
off from law enforcement. The pursuit went from College Avenue towards
Woodland Avenue. KPD utilized "stop sticks" to deflate the suspect's tires
and eventually blocked the suspect in at the intersection of 5t" Avenue East
and 4t" Street E. The suspect female was uncooperative and less lethal
munitions were used to take her into custody.
The suspect was identified as 49-year-old Kari Pollack of Kalispell. She was
transported to Logan Health for treatment of minor contusions followed by
the Flathead County Detention Center. Pollack was charged with Felony
Criminal Endangerment and Driving Under the Influence.
