If they would like to ask council for another extension, a request will be brought forward at the second meeting in March. The public parking lot at Third and Main related to this project needs environmental cleanup. Sampling was conducted and several hits were found for PFAS in two of our well sites. This information goes out in a Consumer Confidence Report that is provided annually with information about water sampling and the results. A !pbgq has been created to inform the public on health advisories and recommendations by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the levels found in city water source samples. A meeting has been scheduled with the Department of Environmental Quality to talk about funding for the process of drilling alternate water sources. She would encourage the public to call with questions to get all relevant information. More rounds of sampling will be done to see if there is a trend of PFAS in those water sources. PFAS are not a regulated contaminant. The EPA is moving forward with regulations, but there are not any now. 014.9.1 ;.
