Resolution 6185 - SLIPA Projects Funding List RESOLUTION NO. 6185
A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE ELIGIBLE PROJECTS TO BE PARTIALLY
FUNDED BY THE STATE-LOCAL INFRASTRUCTURE PARTNERSHIP ACT OF 2023
(SLIPA) AND THE CITY OF KALISPELL.
WHEREAS, the Montana Legislature passed the State-Local Infrastructure Partnership Act of
2023 (SLIPA), resulting in $313,674 being allocated to the City of Kalispell to
maintain or repair existing government facilities; and
WHEREAS, eligible projects include drinking water systems;wastewater treatment systems; fire
suppression systems, if independent from drinking water; streets; roads; bridges;
landfills; streetlights; airports; and public grounds and buildings; and
WHEREAS, a local cash match of 25% of total project cost is required for this program; and
WHEREAS, potential projects were developed through review of capital improvement plans or
emerging needs of the City of Kalispell; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on February 5,2024,continued to February 20,2024, and
public comment was taken regarding the priority list for funding of eligible projects.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council,following a public hearing,has determined the priority of
the following projects to be partially funded by SLIPA funds: 1) Lead
Service Line Inventory and Replacement project;2)Meridian Court Drainage
and Street Repair Project; 3)Sewer Main Sliplining Project,and 4)9th Street
E. Drainage, Street, and Slope Repair Project.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND SIGNED BY THE MAYOR OF
THE CITY OF KALISPELL, THIS 20TH DAY OF FEBRUARY 2024.
