A RESOLUTION OF INTENT CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE
ELIGIBLE PROJECTS TO BE PARTIALLY FUNDED BY THE STATE-LOCAL
INFRASTRUCTURE PARTNERSHIP ACT OF 2023 (SLIPA) AND THE CITY OF
KALISPELL.
WHEREAS, the Montana Legislature passed the State-Local Infrastructure Partnership Act of
2023 (SLIPA), resulting in $313,674 being allocated to the City of Kalispell to
maintain or repair existing government facilities; and
WHEREAS, eligible projects include drinking water systems;wastewater treatment systems;fire
suppression systems, if independent from drinking water; streets; roads; bridges;
landfills; streetlights; airports; and public grounds and buildings; and
WHEREAS, a local cash match of 25% of total project cost is required for this program; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing is required before establishing a priority list for funding of eligible
projects.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. On the 5th day of February, 2024 at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council
Chambers, City Hall, 201 1st Avenue East, Kalispell, Montana, the City
Council of the City of Kalispell shall hold a public hearing on the eligible
projects to be partially funded by SLIPA.

THE CITY OF KALISPELL, THIS 16TH DAY OF JANUARY, 2024.
