OrThe meeting was attended by commission nrerrbers Mayor Kennedy, Councilman
Furlong and City Attorney Neier. Also attending were Police Chief Clark,
Clerk/Treasurer Halver, applicant Al Miller and citizens Wayne Sletten, non
Singer, Larry M-Atee, Steve Cooney and Tim Fannon.
Mayor Kennedy called the meeting to order and stated the purpose was to
consider the application of Al Miller for licensing of electronic gaming
equipment at 116&1/2 Main Street, in a business known as BOARD ROOM.
Al Miller explained he has purchased the all -beverage license of the Pastime
Par and would be located in leased space where the Alley Connection used to
be.
He intended to operate a bar and install a food bar as well as put in gaming
machines. He has all his required state licenses.
City Attorney Neier said everything required is in order.
Wayne Sletten, former rnmployee of Kalispell Bar, alleged Steve Cooney
(building owner) had said he intended to put in another bar sirrply to turn
his properties into the so called Casino of Kalispell.
Steve Cooney responded Mr. Sletten was fired and has ulterior motives for
his statements.
• Al Miller said what they are doing is legal and approved by the state.
Meier agreed.

City Attorney nerved permission be granted and Councilman Furlong seconded to
get the ruoti.on open for discussion.
Furlong said he was concerned this is just a way of getting around the state
limit on machines. Miller said that is riot the intent..
The motion carried with Neier. and Kennedy voting yes and Furlong voting no.
