WATER SERVICE NOTES
1.ALL WATER SERVICE PIPE SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH A MINIMUM COVER OF 6.5 FEET WITH
RESPECT TO FINISHED GRADE.
2.LAY PIPE TO UNIFORM GRADE BETWEEN INDICATED ELEVATION POINTS.
3.WHERE A GROOVED END COUPLING MAY BE SHOWN, IT SHALL BE RIGID JOINT TYPE, UNLESS
OTHERWISE SPECIFIED. WHERE A FLANGED COUPLING ADAPTOR IS SHOWN, A STANDARD
FLANGE SHALL BE JOINED TO THE COUPLING ADAPTOR.
4.CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF UNDERGROUND SERVICE
CONNECTIONS TO THE BUILDING.
5.WATER CONNECTIONS TO INTERNAL BUILDING PLUMBING SHALL BE PERFORMED BY A LICENSED
PLUMBER.
6.SITE SHALL BE ROUGH GRADED PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF UTILITIES TO ASSURE 6.5 FEET
MINIMUM COVER OR DEEPER, AS SPECIFIED. IF 6.5 FEET OF COVER CANNOT BE OBTAINED,
INSULATION OP PIPING MAY BE REQUIRED AS DIRECTED BY ENGINEER.
7.ALL PROVISIONS FOR COMPLETING WATER SYSTEM ACCEPTANCE TESTING SHALL BE THE
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR AND CONSIDERED INCIDENTAL TO OTHER PAY ITEMS.
8.CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY DEPTH AND LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING UTILITY LINES (BY
POTHOLING IF NECESSARY) AHEAD OF NEW UNDERGROUND UTILITY INSTALLATION IN ORDER TO
PREVENT CONFLICTS.
9.CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE UTILITY INSTALLATIONS TO AVOID CONFLICTS WITH ALL
OTHER EXISTING AND PROPOSED UTILITIES.
