I live in Oregon and travel in my airplane quite a bit . I would guess
that I have visited , ie: bought fuel , stayed in a hotel , eaten in
restaurants , shopped etc .. at least 8 times in the past 10 years in
your town , with the airport as the primary draw . . In fact on more
than one trip , I have gone considerably out of my way to get to
Kalispell .
We even met with a local realtor a few times with the idea that 'maybe
.. just maybe ' our retirement will be spent in your community .
Flatly stated ....if the airport closes ... me and my dollars will
likely never go there again .
I'm sure there are strong arguments being presented on both sides of the
issue ... but one thing is for sure . To shut down this airport is to
stack the deck agaist your community .
Leave it open and I'll be back soon with a credit card in hand and an
eye open for some land .
