There is also a resentment by property owners of those who are not property owners needing same services but not contributing any monies to use or obtain them. I know it’s a tough time for cities facing unprecedented growth. Would you and staff consider researching what other cities have done regarding development and developers for city council to view as an option to solve this dilemma? Developers no longer need breaks or incentives to come here and they will continue to come no matter what. So you can’t stop that but you could make them pay. I think it was Santa Clara that literally told developers we need a new football field, we need a few more sanitation workers, we need a school building etc etc and that was just considered a fee. I have no doubt we need more fireman and police but I don’t see any levy passing with the mood of the current voters. So time to look at developments to pay. Karlene Khor Sent from my iPhone
