BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Kisa Davison, Gabe Mariman, Marshall Noice, Catherine Potter &
Pam Carbonari (BID Exec. Coordinator)
BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: Cara Lemire, Jon Fetveit

PUBLIC IN ATTENDANCE: Lorraine Clarno, Chamber of Commerce, Adrian Knowler, DIL
MEETING CALLED TO ORDER at 8.46 AM by Kisa Davison, Chair
MOTION: to approve the agenda dated August 1 and the minutes of July 11 by Catherine Potter with
a second from Marshall Noice - passed unanimously.
Financial Review — The board reviewed the financial report with limited discussion. Motion to accept
the financials as presented made by Marshall Noice with a second from Catherine Potter - passed
unanimously.
Executive Coordinator Report — The golf cart needed repairs and it is back in service. Working on
lots of events; The Art Challenge, Thursday!Fest, Kalispell Parkline Run and Brewfest and
Kreepyspell Krawl.
City report — See written report. Katharine is working on an RFP for Safe Streets for all. A new
banner policy will be presented to and discussed by the City Council the end of August.
HEARING OF THE PUBLIC: Lorraine reported that Lemonade day was a success with 230 youth
participating. Governors' Economic luncheon was held recently. It was reported that there is a little
down turn in tourism. Lorraine offered a child care update. Talos Security has been engaged as our
downtown patrol. Security started driving the limited area downtown last week and will have walking
patrols next week. Business training seminars will happen in the fall.
No additional public comment.
Discussion/Decision Items
Highline Design Update — Kisa indicated that the process is still ongoing. Nothing new at this point.
Website/Video update — Kisa will contact Clint Ekern to discuss.
Downtown patrol update — Discussed during hearing from the public.
Hiring Committee — Committee members will be Ashley Woodworth, Elma Giavasis and another to
be added from the KDA and Marshall Noice, Catherine Potter and Cara Lemire from the KBID. Gabe
Mariman will be the 7t" member as a representative from both the KDA and the KBID.
Business/building owner updates: Finally received the grant request from First Interstate Bank for
a Facade Improvement grant. Marshall made a motion to approve a $5,000 grant with a second from
Kisa Davison. The motion passed unanimously. It was all reported that Bill Goldberg purchased the
Devonshire and that Community Action Partnership will be moving to the Elks Lodge on Highway 93.
Scottibelli's was purchased by Bledy Doda and is now called Bella Italiano. The Book Shelf has a
new owner — Stephanie Pius. Pearl and Lion is a new business now operating in the old Flowers by
Hansen on Main Street. The Kalispell Chamber of Commerce will be moving in to the First Interstate
Bank Building, Suite 205 sometime this fall. Bias Brewing secured a new beer and wine alcohol
license. They will now be able to stay open until11:00 and will not need to track the number of drinks
each person orders.
