Resolution 6162 - ROI - PRO Housing Grant PHRESOLUTION NO. 6162 A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO RECEIVE COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC REGARDING A U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT "PATHWAYS TO REMOVING OBSTACLES TO HOUSING" (PRO HOUSING) GRANT APPLICATION FROM DEVELOPMENT SERVICES TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT PRIOR TO APPLICATION SUBMITTAL. WHEREAS, Development Services seeks to pursue a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development "Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing" (PRO Housing) Grant; and WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing requires that the city publish the PRO Housing grant application for public comment prior to its submittal deadline of October 30, 2023. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. On the 16th day of October, 2023 at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 201 1st Avenue East, Kalispell, Montana, the City Council of the City of Kalispell shall hold a Public Hearing to receive public testimony regarding a grant application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development "Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing" (PRO Housing) Grant. SECTION 2. All public comments derived from the hearing shall be included in the grant application. All public comment derived from the hearing shall be included in the grant application for funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Any person wishing to give testimony may appear at this hearing in person or online via the link at the top of the council agenda and make oral statements or present same in writing.
