Horton/airport closureCouncil members,
I would like to state my support of the Kalispell airport remaining in
service. The lack of foresight in allowing housing development in the
immediate area of an active airport does not mean that you can correct
that mistake by making another and closing it down.
Airports provide employment, commerce, education, emergency medical
access and much more. They are part of an active business community.
Falsely stated claims of the danger of air traffic are overstated, it is
much more dangerous to live next to any major freeway, highway of truck
route.
Issues of horrendous noise are much less than the typical decibel levels
of most car stereos, again not a “real” issue.
In closing, I encourage you to support the continued use of this airport
as an active part of your community.
