Jarecki/city airportDear Council members:
I am a pilot and aircraft owner based at Polson. I have been flying for
close to fifty years. My wife and I use our plane for personal
transportation to many destinations throughout the U.S as well as Canada
and Mexico. Perhaps the primary reason that we stop at a particular
airport is for its close proximity to food, lodging and other needed
services. The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Assoc. publishes annually a
directory of all public airports in the U.S., and part of the
information provided is a listing of services and their closeness to the
airport. Kalispell City Airport is typical of those which we select.
I read the "Daily Interlake" each morning and I am dismayed with the
published opinions of certain individuals, opinions not based on facts
and accurate information. My career was in natural resource management
and so often emotional outbursts become the accepted "fact" and override
good, solid information. I urge you to sort out the fact from the
fiction, look at the contribution that the City Airport makes to the
community and move on.
Sincerely,
Chuck Jarecki
