Schneider/City AirportPlease,
All pilots in the area must be considered, not just those living within
the city limits. I have used the city airport since I started flying in
1958, when I needed to get to banks and stores from Polson. This
airport is valuable to all pilots because it is within walking distance
to banks, stores, and motel facilities. Not everyone is able to get
transportation from the Glacier International Airport when it is needed,
and it is less convenient, especially to those who are not familiar with
the Kalispell area. I for one do not live within the city, but do
presently live in the greater Flathead Valley. My present airplane is
better used at this airport, because at least I do not have to deal with
the longer runways and longer taxiways, at Glacier, which are not as
suitable for small aircraft. Also maintenance facilities for small
aircraft are better at the city airport. Fuel costs are also more in
line with small aircraft owners, wich do not always have the deep
pockets of Business aircraft owners. Delbert Schneider 865 Helena
