Sandry/Kalispell City AirportCouncil Members,
I live in Bigfork, but I fly out of Kalispell City and own a small T-
hanger there. I fly all over the state for work, visiting many of our
states small airports. The Kalispell City Airport is common to some of
the smaller airports in Montana in that most train private pilots, most
have a courtesy car, most sell fuel, and most have a hometown feel that
you get when you walk in the door and are greeted with a smile. The
Kalispell City Airport is unlike many of these airports in that it is
seemingly unwanted in the community. This is very puzzling since the
location of the airport couldn't be better, and the people that work on
the field couldn't be friendlier. I cant help but think that the
reason may be that the airport is a little outdated. I feel that with
some upgrades the airport might once again be viewed as an asset and
become the pride of the community as it should be.
PS I learned to fly at Red Eagle Aviation
