SUBJECT: Fiscal Year 2024 Budget Public Hearing
MEETING DATE: July 3, 2023
BACKGROUND: At the June 19, 2023, regular meeting, City Council authorized the
expenditure of funds necessary for day-to-day operations from the Fiscal Year 2024 budget and set a
date of July 3, 2023, for holding a public hearing prior to the final adoption of the FY2024 budget.
Due to a legal notice publication issue, the public hearing will be opened July 3, 2023, and extended
to July 17, 2023.
On August 21, 2023, Council will consider the final budget and establish respective levies.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council hold a public hearing and
accept public comment on the FY2024 Budget and then extend the public hearing to the July 17,
2023, council meeting.
