Subject: EXTERNAL Housekeeping services accountability
I own a property at 628 2nd avenue east in Kalispell. I bought it to enjoy the place where I was raised and rent it as an air
bnb during the summer to make it work for me financially. I also rent it in the winter at a much reduced rate to provide
furnished housing for traveling medical providers to stay in the area. I have upgraded my property and have gotten to
know my neighbors. Though I am limited in my time here due to family, I love this place.
My concern is that the city of Kalispell does not have regulations in place for start up house keepers/services. They are
very expensive but often times, as is the case of most of them, they lie to you about work they say they do and charge
you for work not done, steal from you, items go missing on the regular, and do a less than quality job. My house no
longer smells clean yet I pay tot dollar for cleaning.
It is my belief that it falls on the city because there are no regulations in place for quality services. If you want people to
invest in your community, there needs to be policies, license requirements, in order for Kalispell to shine --literally.
Please respond. I appreciate your time.
