As we wait with baited breath to hear the details of your "borrowed from Whitefish" ordinances, I want you to
consider the following:
* DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT WHILE JAMES THE JUNKIE IS GETTING HIS FIX HE'S GOING TO CHECK HIS
WATCH TO ENSURE HE'S NOT OVERSTAYING THE LIMITS OF YOUR ORDINANCE?
* AND WHAT ABOUT DONNY THE DUMP MASTER OVER BY THE TREE DOING HIS BUSINESS...... DO YOU THINK
HE CHECKED THE CALENDAR TO ENSURE THAT HE IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE DAYS SPECIFIED IN YOUR
ORDINANCE?
WHAT ABOUT SLEEPY JOE CURLED IN THE FETAL POSITION UNDER THE BENCH ON 15t Ave. West? WILL
SLEEPING ON PUBLIC STREETS BE ADDRESSED IN YOUR ORDINANCES?
These ordinances are directed at the general public and designed to restrict OUR activities and
movement. We, the law abiding, hardworking, tax paying people will be forced to adhere to them under
threat of fines. We might have to apply for a permit (that may or not be granted) that will limit the amount of
people and time period for gatherings. We follow the law so you won't make much if anything off
us ... certainly not enough to offset the cost of the new ordinance signage. The vagrants on the other hand
won't be adhering to the ordinances, won't be fined. How do I know this? Because if the situation was
otherwise, we wouldn't be addressing this problem in the first place. But then again, I'm not telling you
ANYTHING you don't already know.
It is clear that you are in support of allowing our town to evolve into a slum where only junkies and vagrants
will enjoy the free comforts of settling themselves within our parks and public streets. And, you will enjoy
the company of others that profess to be doing good for the less fortunate. Patting each other on the back as
you turn a blind eye on the lawless that is abundant.
You told us that you cannot protect us from the dangerous and menacing behavior of these vagrants. You
advised that you couldn't keep our public spaces clean of human feces, needles, abandoned clothing, etc. And,
without a shred of humiliation, embarrassment or shame, you offered a 'solution' borrowed from Whitefish.
And you did so with straight faces! You should be embarrassed. You are an embarrassment. I gave you the
solution... ship them out. All you have to do is work out the details. If the federal government can move
millions of illegals around our country, if governors can move tens of thousands of illegals out of their states,
surely YOU can come up with a plan to move these vagrants out. We can only pray.
