work session regarding review of potential ordinances related to public parks Public Comment from Margaret DavisAimee Brunckhorst From: Margaret Davis <director@nwmthistory.org> Sent: Monday, January 23, 2023 11:34 AM To: Kalispell Meetings Public Comment Subject: EXTERNAL work session regarding review of potential ordinances related to public parks [NOTICE: This message includes an attachment -- DO NOT CLICK on links or open attachments unless you know the content is safe.] Greetings, I would like the open space next to the museum at 124 Second Ave. East to be classified as a "public park" for the purposes of any rulemaking being considered. The museum often sees long-term visitation of the space next to our facility and associated impacts, such as trespassers found in nonpublic museum spaces, unauthorized activities in our restrooms, etc. One additional ask is that the council designate a place that CAN be used as a meeting and hangout space as otherwise we are just pushing people around from place to place and creating multiple additional issues and impacts instead of achieving resolution. I appreciate this chance to comment as I am unable to attend the meeting tonight because we have an event at the museum at the same time that I need to oversee. Thank you, Margaret Davis Margaret E.
