Subject: EXTERNAL Westside Neighborhood Parking Management Zone for Fifth St. West
Dear Council Members,
My wife and I own two rental properties on Fifth St. West between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Though I support the
proposed restriction on High School parking in the area, I would like it to apply only to the two on -street parking spaces
on the north side of Fifth Street, or not apply to the north side at all.
There are no curbs or sidewalks on the north side of the street. Most of the resident parking is on the boulevard at
531 Fifth St. West, a driveway on 545 Fifth St. West and a paved parking area on 448 Fifth Ave. West. These areas
should be exempt from the requirement for a permit being displayed in the vehicle window.
The neighborhood recently acquired two new duplexes and parking will be a growing problem as more in -fill
occurs. A flexible solution is needed.
Thanks for your consideration.
