Police Officer Confirmations This item considers confirming Police Officers Carlee Brown and Hunter Maier who have successfully completed their probationary period. He also spoke to how proud he is of his team. Mayor Johnson pinned officer badges on Officer Brown and Officer Maier and wished them well in their service. Police Officer Carlee Brown spoke to becoming a Kalispell Police Officer. Police Officer Hunter Maier spoke to becoming a Kalispell Police Officer. F. COMMITTEE REPORTS — None. G. Resolution of Intent 6114 — C Pace Program This resolution considers setting a public hearing date of Tuesday, January 3, 2023, to receive public comment on the creation of a Commercial Property Assessed Capital Enhancement Act of Montana District. City Manager Russell provided an overview of this item. 00:14:32 Public Comment Mayor Johnson opened public comment. Seeing none, he closed public comment. 07:12:10 PM (00:14:42) Motion and Vote to approve Resolution 6114, a resolution calling for a public hearing on the proposed establishment of a Commercial Property Assessed Capital Enhancement Program in Kalispell, Montana. L CITY MANAGER, COUNCIL, AND MAYOR REPORTS (No Action) City Manager Doug Russell provided the following report: • No city council work session next week. • Brought up the snow removal map and policy on the city website and provided information to the public. 00:18:59 Councilor Graham said he enjoyed working with everyone throughout the year. The other Council members agreed. 00:19:34 Mayor Johnson spoke to public comment received and the oaths that the Council has made to protect individual rights. He then spoke to the cold weather expected this week and the local charities that provide services to people in need of shelter or related services. Page 3 of 4 Kalispell City Council Minutes, December 19, 2022 Mayor Johnson reported on past grants that the city has received and then reported that the City of Kalispell just won a $25 million dollar grant from the US Department of Transportation for improving West Reserve Drive. He congratulated staff, County Commissioners and the Montana Department of Transportation, and the citizens of Flathead County on this welcome grant. 00:25:27 City Manager Russell provided an overview of next steps on this project.
