Hearing of the Public: Jerry Nix questioning downtown issues such as Valley Bank moving to
to meet with him and update him on downtown issues. Jerry said he would meet with Valley
Bank.
Approval of Minutes of August 6, 2008. Moved by Jon. Second by Tom. Approved by all board
members present.
WAIVERS: Bill and Marshall have circulated petitions and Bill thinks he has about $30,000.00 in
signed waivers. Bill has spoken with Amy, City Treasurer, deadline for the renewal of the BID
tax assessment is Tuesday (August 12). BID does not need to turn in new budget.
Cover letter for waivers: Tom and Jon would like to rework Bill's letter.
Bill and Janet will find out more information from the City regarding the waivers, work plan and
the Council.
OLD BUSINESS: General discussion of the various groups involved in downtown and how
important it is for us all to work together and not to fragment. Should we gather for an evening
of networking about downtown? Tom will contact Mt. Economic West, the City, KDA, Young
Professionals, the Chamber, Parks and Recreation, Liz Marchi, the Mayor. Set meeting forSept
10, 57pm, at Red's Mezzanine room.
NEW BUSINESS: Web site, Jon will work setting this up due to his background. What are we
marketing? Kellie brought up the fact that Montana is dedicating the Christmas tree to the
White House this year. On Nov 9 the tree will be passing through Kalispell on it's way to
Washington D.C. Kellie is working on a tree celebration downtown, and is asking for
suggestions.
Rod Run: Bill will talk to Gordon Pirrie and Gus about who will continue to work on the Rod A
jor next year, it is an important event for downtown.
