The following meeting was called by the BID Board. The purpose of the meeting is to bring
forth from the various organizations invited their ideas concerning downtown Kalispell so that
we will understand each other's concerns and we will present a united front.
PRESENT: Tom Donnelly, Kellie Danielson, Katherine Thompson, Anson Fredenberg, John
Hinchey, Jon Feitveit, Alisa Ibey, Mayor Pam Kennedy, Jennifer Young, Melanie Cross, Marshall
Noice, Tana Rae, Tim Price, Kim Morisaki, Joe Unterreiner, Debbie Snyder, Dan Snyder, Bill
Goodman, Janet Clark, Susan Miller.
Tom Donnelly representing the BID moderated the meeting. Each representative was asked to
present 3 ideas concerning downtown and speak for 10 minutes.
Katherine Thompson represents the City of Kalispell, Department of Economic Development.
She is presently writing a grant for( $27000.00) Preserve America, there are presently 650
communities in the US with this designation. The grant will update and add to the historic
buildings in the Kalispell downtown area. If the City has this designation there are other grants
and funding opportunities that become available along with marketing opportunities.

Katherine Thompson passed around a brochure about "Revitalize Downtown" to be held in
Butte on September 29 -30.
Tom Donnelly thanked everyone for their participation and said he looked forward to another
meeting.
