St. East Kalispell MT. 59901 Present: Bill Goodman (Chairman), Tom Donnelly, Jon Fetveit, Marshall Noice, Melanie Cross, Janet Clark, Tim Price (7:45am) Meeting called to order by Bill Goodman at 7:35 am Approval of Agenda: Janet moved, Marshall second, approved by all present Approval of Minutes of August 20 and September 10, 2008: Moved by Marshall, second by Jon approved by all present 4 - # Rod Run: Glacier Rod Run Association will no longer undertake the Kalispell Rod Run Show in July, but will hel� in the learning process as the event is being taken over by Gorden Pirrie, Bill Goodman and KDA members. There have been 130 entries in the past -1957 or older models, will now possibly expand to 1975 models, include motorcycles and dragsters. Tim suggests a member from the Classic Car Group and KDA organize together for the following summer event. Next KDA meeting Oct. 14, noon at the Chamber office to discuss event. BID board agrees to support the Rod Run and First Night- KDA has contracted with the financial help of the City Patrice Manget to facilitate First Night. September 10 Meeting: Jon summarized the comments from the various organizations present 1. Foot Traffic 2. Cleanliness 3. Density 4. Longterm parking We need to build consensus among the downtown business groups. Other present issues discussed: Preserve America Grant was awarded to the City of Kalispell City trash cans overflowing; due to cutback in Parks and Recreation staff. Tom will talk to Judy Larson at Insty Prints about BID stationary, we will use 334 Main Street( Melanie Cross), Treasurer, as our mailing address. Old Business: Cover letter by Jon and Tom is still in progress. Marshall moved to send out the cover letter regarding the waivers with the waivers enclosed, and listing all board members. Jon second, approved by all present. Cohesive marketing campaign, branding Kalispell, logo for Kalispell will be the next meeting, Nov 12, 5pm. Mezzanine of KIVI Building. New Business: Labor Day Weekend Music Festival. Friday night, Sat. day, Sat. night, to include family everV.4 and adults events. Marshall and Tom will contact Bob Lincoln and Steve Kelly to garner information about Sommers Street Dance and 11,ac 4.1tack. Encouraged Marshall to rehang his cowboy on the front of his building.
