Approval of the Minutes of May 27, 2009: Marshall moved, Jon second. Approved by all Board Members
present.
THURSDAYFEST / ALIVE @ 5
Discussion of the name. Name remains THURSDAYFEST as voted upon at the last meeting using tag line of
Alive @ 5.
Lorie gave an update of Thursdayfest progress. She discussed food vendors and farmers she has contacted
good interest, but no signed contracts.
I -Loy Gr-iffing presented insurance policy that will cover 9 events, including Rally in the Rockies, liquor an
liability for $6804.00. Bill will review policy and talk to Charlie Harball about the city's required coverage as
additional insured.
Beer Committee (Bill, Melanie, Janet) will meet Tuesday, 12-1:30 at Red's
Judy Petterson presented THURSDAYFEST logos and colors for flags she is working on.
KDA REPORT
KDA Board Members will be working on present, past and future memberships. Tana wrote a letter for all to
give to downtown merchants in regards to what the KDA is all about and what the KDA is doing.
BID LOGO
Marshall presented possible logos for the Board to review. Marshall, Janet, Jon and Melanie will meet after
today's meeting to review logos and choose a few to present for next week's meeting.
FLOWERS UPDATE
Flowers were planted over the weekend in the planters. 10 area churches volunteered for this community
project. Board agreed the volunteers should be thanked. Daniel Lambert, Easthaven Baptist Church organizer.
LIBERTY THEATER
Marshall, Jon and Katherine will meet with Phil Harris.
Katharine handed out copies ofthe new KALSPELLWALKING TOUR brochure.
Katharine brought anew project tothe table. She suggested that downtown initiate aSKrun next summer
and tag kinwith historic downtown, ARUN THUHISTORY. Suggested Sunday inAugust, Music and Museums
Event. All present liked the idea.
