will purchase more trash cans. Volunteers did a great job, but we need more. Tana will have 4 street crossing
guards from Glacier Bank this week ,and bank tellers handling the cash tills. All Board Members agreed to pay
$10.00jhour/person for a setup and breakdown crew; Tim will talk to his group of volunteers about this.
The BID will continue to be the leader for THURSDAYIFEST until KDA is more organized.
Katharine will contact Charlie Harball in regards to cash receipts from THURSDAYIFEST and if alcohol
receipts can be deposited into the BID account,( please see attached e-mail response from Katharine).
Margaret reported that ads will continue to run this week for THURSDAYIFEST.
REPORT FROM KATHARINE (CITY):
Katharine would like the Board to consider changing and expanding the name Main Street Historic District
Preservation. She asked the Board to think about this idea and discuss at another meeting.
Katharine is writing a letter to KDA asking if they wanted to take on the project of a single major event (such as
a SK run) next summer, the event requires organization and needs to be committed to in order to happen.
WEBSITE:
Jon reports that downtownkalispell.com is up and running. Ask all to visit the site and fill in your business
information. Jon will visit KDA and ask the same request.
Jon moved to amend the market rules : If we have not filled a vendor space under the existing terms we may
fill that space with whomever we wish, Tim second. Discussion followed. Jon moved to amend his motion
to read produce vendors, Tim second. Approved by all Board Members.

Subject: BID funds
All,
This morning Amy Robertson, City Finance Director, and Charlie Harball, City Attorney, met with me regarding
questions of BID process for handling funds. Here are the answers to your questions:
• For tracking purposes, the BID might want to create its own spreadsheet for internal budgeting as the
City's system may not be as responsive as the BID would like;
• All revenue_ to the BID must go to the City, regardless of the source of funds (i.e. revenue from alcohol
sales). Accompanying the deposits should be a brief report showing: gross receipts, costs and net
revenue;
The generation of revenue by the BID does not affect the BID's ability to make assessments. If the BID
finds that, as it nears the end of its fiscal year, that it has more funds than were budgeted it will adjust
accordingly so that it ends up with a zero sum (with some level of reserve funds);
The BID may contribute funds to the KDA if it chooses to do so.
If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me. Again, congratulations on the great success of
your first ThursdaylFest.
