KALISPELL BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT BOARD MEETING
July 15, 2009
Camus Creek Yarns, 338 Main St., Kalispell, MT.
Present: Bill Goodman (Chairman), Lorie Hafer(Market Manager), Craig Koontz(Tamarac Brewery), Tana Rae
(KDA), Tim Price, Margaret Leakander, Marshall Noice, Melanie Cross, Janet Clark.
Meeting called to Order at 7:35am.
Approval of the Minutes of June 24, 2009: No Minutes have materialized.
Approval of Minutes of July 7, 2009: Moved by Melanie, second by Janet. Approved by all Board Members.
Hearing of the Public: No One Present
THURSDAY!FEST:
Lorie reported that she had been informed that some children were josting with the Thursdaylfest flags. She
took the flags down,has them in her car and will put them up again on Thursday mornings, and the
Thursday!fest crew will take them down.
Bill e-mailed the Board Members a survey which addresses attendees and their comments. The surveys will
be available at the information booth and someone will walk around and survey the crowd with questions to
help us improve the event.
The Monster radio station will do a live broadcast at Thursday!fest sponsored by Flathead Beverage.
Discussion of police presence.
The City Finance Director, Amy Robertson, suggested the BID work up our own spreadsheet in regards to
Thursday!fest, so we will be better informed as to our expenses. Melanie will be in charge of the
spreadsheet.
Marshall has reconfigured the bands, but band names will remain the same and therefore advertising will
remain the same.
Tana reported that KDA met Tuesday, July 14 and that the following committees were appointed: Finance,
Marketing and Membership.

Bill and Janet along with 2 members from KDA will meet with Mike Baker to discuss City cleanup of
Downtown.
All Board Members agree that the name MAIN STREET HISTORIC DISTRICT remain as is.
Meeting adjourned at 8:53am. Moved by Marshall, second by Margaret. Approved by all present.
