B. DISCUSSION 1. Requests from Morning Star Community, Inc., and Green Acres Cooperative, Inc. to host Community Development Block Grant Public Facilities and Housing Grants "Ta 00:01:28 Development Services Director Jarod Nygren presented the staff report on this item. 00:04:09 Councilor Hunter began questions. 00:04:49 Danielle Maiden with NeighborWorks Montana responded to a question speaking about other funds the State of Montana has applied for related to the water connection of this project. She also explained the grant requests before Council in further detail. Green Acres has also authorized WGM to move forward with a preliminary engineering report which Green Acres is paying for out of pocket. Councilor Hunter continued questions for staff and provided discussion. 00:11:24 Danielle Maiden with NeighborWorks Montana explained she is the lead for the grant administration of this project. Mayor Johnson confirmed with Council that they would like this item moved forward. C. PUBLIC COMMENT Mayor Johnson opened public comment. Seeing none he closed public comment. CITY MANAGER, COUNCIL, AND MAYOR REPORTS 00:19:50 Councilor Daoud asked questions related to the budget. 00:22:15 Mayor Johnson reported speaking with Bob Vosen at the Montana Department of Transportation about traffic issues on Three Mile Drive. Mr. Vosen suggested that the city request an MDT speed study for Three Mile Drive. He also said Mr. Vosen said MDT engineers are starting to look at the Three Mile Drive and Springcreek intersection to eliminate the sweeping curve. Mayor Johnson also said he would talk with the County Commissioners about Two Mile Drive. E.
