Wednesday, February 9, 2022, 4 - 5 p.m.
In attendance: Judy Rosenfeld Cox, April Vomfell, Tony Nelson, Martin Ripens and Staff-

Public Comment:
No public comment was given
Approve Minutes:
• April made a motion to approve the January minutes, and Martin 2nd. All approved.
Current Business:
• Arbor Day- Plans were reviewed and discussed looking at the duties of each task.
o Theme “Healthy Trees Health Me”
▪ New semester is about to begin so it will be awhile before we can students
art work to review
o Kids- Erin
o Sponsors- Everyone
▪ Need to edit past years letter and be ready to mail out once logo is received
o Environmental Stations- Tony
o Food- Judy & Martin
▪ Barb Boorman will assist Judy with food planning, so Martin is off the hook
o T-shirts- Fred
o Ceremony- Fred
o Logistics- Colter
o Volunteers- Martin & Colter
▪ Discussed planting in Woodland as well as locations around town where
Red Oaks haven’t faired well as well as the 10 locations where elms trees
planted last year did not make it
o Media- April
▪ Need to send April examples of past media examples from AD
o Community Outreach- Judy & Everyone
▪ Need to touch base with Ali Ulwelling and see if seedlings are still available
• Board Leadership Training- There was a short discussion on the board member training
provided by the City of Kalispell.
• Arborist Update – Colter was not present but discussed that the crew had finished pruning 5th
Ave E and were moving to Buffalo Stage and Glacier Commons.
