ORDINANCE NO. 1158
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PLACEMENT OF STOP SIGNS AT THE
INTERSECTIONS OF MERIDIAN ROAD AND 4TH STREET WEST (4-WAY),
MERIDIAN ROAD AND 2ND STREET WEST (4-WAY), AND MERIDIAN ROAD AND
WEST CENTER STREET, ESTABLISHING A PENALTY, AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: That vehicles, including motor vehicles,
bicycles, or other vehicles shall be required to stop:
A) In both the North and South bound lanes
of Meridian Road at the intersection with 4th
Street West;
B) In both the North and South bound lanes
of Meridian Road at the intersection with 2nd
Street West;
C) In both the East and West bound lanes of
4th Street West at the intersection with
Meridian Road;
D) In both the East and West bound lanes of
2nd Street West at the intersection with
Meridian Road;
E) In the North bound lane of Meridian Road
at the intersection with West Center Street.
SECTION II. The Chief of Police is authorized and
directed to erect stop signs at the above location.
SECTION III. Any person who violates any of the
provisionsof this Ordinance shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor and shall be fined or imprisoned in
accordance with Section 1-9 of the Kalispell City Code.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall become effective 30
days from and after its passage by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
