AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE PLACEMENT OF STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTIONS
OF WEST WASHINGTON STREET AND 1ST AVENUE WEST NORTH, WEST MONTANA
STREET AND 2ND AVENUE WEST NORTH, AND 18TH STREET AND 3RD AVENUE
EAST, ESTABLISHING A PENALTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That vehicles, including motor vehicles, bicycles,
or other vehicles shall be required to stop:
A) In both the North and South bound lanes of
1st Avenue West North at the intersection with
West Washington Street;
B) In both the North and South bound lane of 2nd
Avenue West North at the intersection with West
Montana Street;
C) In the West bound lane of Ath Street East at
its intersection with 3rd Avenue East.
SECTION II. The Chief of Police is authorized and directed
to erect stop signs at the above location.
SECTION III.
Any person who
violates any of the provisions
of this Ordinance shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and
shall be fined
or imprisoned
in accordance with §1-9 of the
Kalispell City
Code.
SECTION IV. This Ordinance
shall become effective 30 days
from and after
its passage by
the City Council and approval
by the Mayor.
