EXTERNAL Traffic congestion
Dear Honorable Mayor and City Council,
The summer traffic is coming upon us and I would like to offer a suggestion to help ease congestion around U.S. 93
North and Treeline Road. A simple left turn arrow as you come out of the shopping centers where Target and Lowes
(and numerous other popular businesses) operate, would help immensely. As it stands now, you have to wait for cross
traffic, causing backups into the roadways and parking lots that interconnect these areas.
In addition to the added congestion and traffic jams on these roadways, I am certain that the accident rates due to this
congestion is relatively high, especially during peak tourist season, which could possibly be a liability headache for the
City of Kalispell as traffic continually increases with growth and tourism.
Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
Sincerely,
Terri Klepper-Speasl
