AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6-2 OF THE KALISPELL CITY CODE
(ORDINANCE 831) BY REESTABLISHING BOUNDARIES OF THE WARDS OF THE
CITY.
BE 1T ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL,
MONTANA, THAT SECTION 6-2 OF THE CITY CODE (ORDINANCE 831) BE AMENDED
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The territory embraced within the limits of the City shall
be and the same is hereby divided into four wards, bounded and described
- as hereinafter set forth.
A) Ward No. One: Ward No. 1 shall consist of all that territory within
the corporate City limits of the City of Kalispell northerly of a line
beginning at the easterly City limits and the southerly line of East
California Street, thence westerly along the southerly line of East Cali-
fornia Street to northerly intersection of Fifth Alley East, thence northerly
and westerly along southerly edge of the ridge of Lawrence Park to the
intersection of southerly line of East Nevada Street, thence westerly
along the southerly line of East Nevada to the westerly line of Fourth
Avenue West North, thence southerly along the westerly line of Fourth
Avenue West North to the southerly line of West California, thence
westerly along the southerly line of West California to the easterly line
of the Flathead County Fairgrounds, thence southerly along the easterly
line of the Flathead County Fairgrounds to the intersection of the southerly
line of U.S. Highway No. 2, thence westerly along the southerly line of
U.S. Highway No. 2 to the Corporate limits of the City of Kalispell.
Said line shall be the south boundary line of Ward No. I.
B) Ward No. Two: Ward No. 2 shall consist of all that territory
within the corporate City limits of the City of Kalispell lying southerly
of the south boundary line of Ward No. 1 and northerly of a line
beginning at the intersection of the easterly City limits and the center
line of Conrad Drive, thence westerly along the center line of Conrad
Drive to the center fine of the intersection with Woodland Drive, thence
southerly along the centerline of Woodland Drive to the center line of
the intersection with Third Street, thence westerly along the cebiter= line
of Third Street to the intersection center line of Eleventh Alley West,
thence northerly along the center line of Eleventh Alley West to the
intersection with the centerline of Second Street West, thence westerly
along the center line of Second Street West to the intersection with the
westerly line of Meridian Road, thence westerly along the westerly line
of Meridian Road to the intersection with the southerly line of Hollister's
Meridian Tracts, thence westerly along the' southerly line of Hollister's
Meridian Tracts to the westerly corporate limits of the City of Kalispell.
Said line shall be the southerly boundary line of Ward No. 2.
C) Ward No. Three: Ward No. 3 shall consist of all that territory
within the corporate limits of Kalispell lying southerly of the South
boundary of Ward No. 2 and northerly of a line beginning at the inter-
section of the easterly city limits and the southerly line of Woodland
Park Addition, thence westerly along the southerly line of the Woodland
Park Addition to the intersection with the easterly line of Woodland
Avenue, thence northerly along the westerly line of Woodland Avenue to
intersection with the northerly line of Seventh Street East, thence westerly
along the northerly line of Seventh Street East to the intersection with
the westerly line of Main Street, thence southerly along the westerly
line of Main Street to the intersection with the northerly line of Eighth
Street West, thence westerly along the northerly line of Eighth Street
to the westerly line of Wallace Avenue, thence southerly along the westerly
line of Wallace Avenue to the intersection with southerly line of the City
limits, thence westerly along the southern line of the City limits to
Ashley Creek and the westerly line of the Corporate limits of the City
of Kalispell.
Said line shall be the south boundary line of Ward No. 3.
D) Ward No. Four: Ward No. 4 shall consist of all that territory
within the corporate City limits of the City of Kalispell lying southerly
of the boundary of Ward No. 3.
SECTION 11. As there are additions made to the corporate limits of the
City of Kalispelll, the aforesaid boundary lines of the respective wards
shall be extended 'in an easterly or westerly direction, as the case may
be, along the center line of the nearest extended street running easterly
or westerly, as the case may be, to the City limits.
SECTION 111. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days
from and after the date of its final passage by the Council and approval
by the Mayor. .
