Kominsky, and Abigail Miller

BACKGROUND: Susan Brenco, Karli Kominsky, and Abigail Miller are being presented for
confirmation as Firefighter/Paramedics for the Kalispell Fire Department as they have successfully
completed their one-year probationary period and all appointment requirements.
Susan Brenco was born and raised in the Flathead graduating from Flathead High School in 2000.
She worked in the medical field for Kalispell OB/GYN for 19 years before coming to work for
Kalispell Fire. She and her husband Eric have a 3-year-old daughter. Susan and Eric love to hunt,
fish, water ski and enjoy everything that Montana has to offer.
Karli Kominsky grew up in Wyoming and majored in Geology at the University of Wyoming
obtaining her Bachelor of Science Degree. She joined the Army National Guard in 2012, moved to
Billings, Montana, and began working as an EMT while attending Billings City College. She
graduated in 2018 with an Associate of Science Degree in Paramedicine and worked for AMR
Ambulance in Billings. Karli loves what Montana has to offer and still serves as a combat medic
instructor for the National Guard in Helena.
Abbie Miller grew up south of Troy, Montana, in the community of Bull Lake. She comes from a
fire service family and volunteered for the Bull Lake Fire Department working summers as a
Wildland Firefighter. During that time, Abbie went to Paramedic school and was hired with
Evergreen Fire and Rescue in Kalispell as a Firefighter/Paramedic. After several years she came to
Kalispell Fire Department to further expand her career.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that Council confirm Firefighter/Paramedics Susan
Brenco, Karli Kominsky, and Abigail Miller to the Kalispell Fire Department.
