Subject: EXTERNAL Fairbridge Inn
To whom it may concern,
You can't live in Kalispell without being aware of the housing situation the Valley is currently experiencing. It isn't an
experience unique to our area but it is one critically impactful to every person in need of a place to live. If that's not you,
you have no idea how lucky you are.
The people who are in a position of needing to call the Fair ridge Inn home are in a very untenable position and we need
to ensure they have options when it comes to having a place to go.
Take a look on Facebook, Craiglist, the classifieds or anywhere else you would look for housing and find a decent place
to live on a single income that allows pets if you have a family. Then imagine needing to also have a deposit and possibly
first and last month's rent as well. We're asking people to do the impossible with little to no resources. Something needs
to be done in this valley or the problem is going to continue to get worse. More of the hardworking Montanans that's
have lived here their whole lives will be forced out because they can't afford it. The single parents and good old folks
that just want to enjoy the Montana Way but can't compete with the out of state money and Airbnbs taking over.
Unless you're part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
