A RESOLUTION LEVYING AND ASSESSING 3.75 MILLS AS THE CITY'S SHARE OF
THE COST OF OPERATING THE FLATHEAD CITY -COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kalispell and the
Flathead Board of County Commissioners entered into an Interlocal
Agreement dated March 14, 1980 for the operation and maintenance of
the Flathead City -County Health Department, and
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Agreement provides. that the cost of
operation of the Flathead City -County Health Department shall be
distributed between Flathead County and the City of Kalispell with
each entity levying an identical levy, and
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Board of County Commissioners
held a Public Hearing pursuant to HB25 on July 25, 1989 to determine
the anticipated cost of operating the Flathead City -County Board of
Health, and
WHEREAS, at said Public Hearing it was determined that the cost
of operating the Flathead City -County Health Department would be the
sum of $ 384,581-00 and
WHEREAS, the City's share of the cost of operating the Flathead
City -County Health Department, under the Interlocal Agreement, in
fiscal year 1990 shall. be approximately $58,000i and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to levy 3.75 mills to fund the City's
obligation to the Flathead City -County Board of Health.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That a tax be levied for the assessment of
cost in the amount of $58,708.87, for the operation and

maintenance of the Flathead City -County Health Department
in fiscal 1990.
SECTION 11.. That the sum of $58,708.87 shall be collected
by levying 3.75 -mills upon the taxable valuation of each
parcel of property within the corporate limits of the City.
SECTION Ill. That the City Clerk -Treasurer is authorized
and directed to furnish a copy of this Resolution to the
Flathead County Treasurer.

SECTION IV. The Flathead County Treasurer is authorized
to collect the money on behalf of the City of Kalispell
and disburse said funds as County Funds.

THE MAYOR THIS 14th DAY OF August 1989.
