Resolution 3833 - Set Public Hearing - Amend Drug Enforcement BudgetRESOLUTION NO. 3833 A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDING THE BUDGETS FOR THE GENERAL FUND, COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE FUND, HEALTH FUND AND RETIREMENT FUND TO PROPERLY ACCOUNT FOR FUNDS AVAILABLE IN THE FUNDS WHICH CAN BE EXPENDED IN THE FISCAL 1989 BUDGET. WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell in the fiscal year 1989 has received a State grant to pay 73% of the cost of hiring an officer for drug enforcement; and r. WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell in the fiscal year 1989 has received a local donation to pay 27% of the cost of hiring an officer for drug enforcement; and WHEREAS, the sum of $8,583.26 is available for the appropriation of the following expenditures for four (4) months salary and benefits: GENERAL FUND 1000 413 420140 114 $6,307.12 -drug enforcement salary 1000 413 420140 134 $ 475.00 -clothing allowance COMP. INS. FUND 2360 000 510330 513 $ 222.42 -worker's compensation RETIREMENT FUND 2370 413 420140 155 $ 796.82 -retirement HEALTH FUND 2380 413 420140 153 $ 781.90 -health insurance NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the actual expenditures incurred for the hiring of an officer will be $6,307.12 for salaries including unemployment insurance and medicare tax; $222.42 for worker's compensation contribution; $796.82 for retirement benefits; $781.90 for health insurance and $475.00 clothing allowance. SECTION II. That the General Fund, Comprehensive Insurance Fund, Retirement Fund and the Health Insurance Fund may be legally amended to authorize the expenditures. SECTION III. That a Public Hearing shall be held by the City Council at 7:30 P.M. on the 21st day of February, 1989, at the Council Chambers, City Hall, Kalispell, Montana. SECTION IV. That at said hearing any taxpayer or resident of Kalispell may appear and be heard regarding the proposed budget amendment. SECTION V. That at a meeting held at least seven (7) days subsequent to said hearing the Council may, by majority vote, amend the General Fund, Comprehensive Insurance Fund, Retirement Fund and Health Insurance Fund Budgets to properly account for expenditures made as a result of unanticipated revenue in the Funds. SECTION VI. The City Clerk -Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed `to publish notice of the above set Public Hearing by publishing a copy of the Resolution together with a Notice of Public Hearing in the Daily Inter Lake, said publication to appear at least six (6) days prior 'to the hearing on the budget amendment.
