Resolution 3829 - Declares Heritage DayRESOLUTION NO. 3$29
A RESOLUTION DECCARING'THE FRIDAY FOLLuWTNG THANKSGIVING DAY AS HERITAGE
DAY THEREBY ESTABLISHING HERITAGE DAY AS A LEGAL HOLIDAY AND DECLARING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Montana declared Heritage
Day a legal holiday and declared that its observance to be annually
on a date determined by the governing body of each political subdivision,
and
WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Montana has issued a
Proclamation that the Friday next succeeding Thanksgiving Day be
observed as Heritage Day for the various branches of State government,
and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the City of Kalispell follow the
lead of the Governor in observing holidays declared by the State
legislature.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the Friday next succeeding Thanksgiving
Day shall be observed by the City of Kalispell as Heritage
Day.
SECTION II. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.

BY THE MAYOR THIS 21St DAY OF .November , 1988.
