Resolution 3824 - Budget - Approve Hockaday Special Revenue FundRESOLUTION NO. 1824
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE HOCKADAY SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND TO PROPERLY ACCOUNT FOR FUNDS AVAILABLE IN THE FUND
WHICH CAN BE EXPENDED IN THE FISCAL 1988 BUDGET.
WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell in Fiscal Year 1988 appropriated
$13,749.00 to cover the cost of remodeling of the Hockaday Art Center,
and
WHEREAS, the actual expenditures incurred during the remodeling
project amounted to the sum of $52,535.25, and
WHEREAS, expenditures of $39,192.73 over the appropriated amount
may be covered by revenue donated to the Hockaday Art Center by the
Burlington Northern Corporation, and
WHEREAS, the sum of $39,192.73 is available in the Hockaday
Special Revenue Fund for capital outlay expenditure that was not
budgeted, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kalispell, pursuant to
Section 7-6-4231, M.C.A., on the 22nd day of August, 1988, passed
Resolution No. 3816, and pursuant to said Resolution the City Council
did set a Public Hearing to be held at 7:30 P.M. on the 6th day of
September, 1988, at the Council Chambers, City Hall, Kalispell, Montana,
and directed the City Clerk -Treasurer Lo ptLblish Notice of said Public
Hearing in accordance with said section, and
WHEREAS, the City Council pursuant to said Notice did hold a
Public Hearing at said time and place and provided an opportunity for
taxpayers and residents of the City of Kalispell to be heard for or
against amending the budget for the Hockaday Special Revenue Fund,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council at the conclusion of said hearing
determined that it was appropriate to approve the budget amendment of
$39,192.73 to cover the actual cost of remodeling of the Hockaday Art
Center.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Hockaday Special Revenue Fund for the
Fiscal 1988 Budget is hereby amended by including therein an
additional expenditure of $39,192.73 resulting in a total
authorized expenditure of $52,535.25.
SECTION II. That this Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage by the City Council and approval by
the Mayor.
SECTION III. That this Resolution shall be entered upon the
minutes of the Council meeting held this date and as such
shall evidence compliance with Section 7-6-4231, M.C.A.
