Resolution 3821 - Budget - Approve Emergency Expenditure - Light MaintainanceRESOLUTION NO. 3821 I� 1 A RESOLUTION APPROVING EMERGENCY EXPENDITURES IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,526.00 TO COVER THE ACTUAL COST OF LIGHT MAINTENANCE FOR FISCAL YEAR 1988. WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell in Fiscal Year 1988 appropriated $53,508.00 to cover the cost of electricity and repair and maintenance services incurred during said year, and WHEREAS, for reasons that could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time of the appropriating said amount, the actual cost of electricity and repair and maintenance services was $56,034.00, and WHEREAS, it is estimated that $2,526.00 is required to meet the emergency, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kalispell, pursuant to Section 7-6-4252, M.C.A., on the 22nd day of August, 1988, passed Resolution No. 3813, and pursuant to said Resolution the City Council did set a Public Hearing to be held at 7:30 P.M. on the 6th day of September, 1988, at the Council Chambers, City Hall, Kalispell, Montana, and directed the City Clerk -Treasurer to publish Notice of said Public Hearing in accordance with said section, and WHEREAS, the City Council pursuant to said Notice did hold a Public Hearing at said time and place and provided an opportunity for taxpayers and residents of the City of Kalispell to be heard for or against the expenditure of money for the alleged emergency, and WHEREAS, the City Council at the conclusion of said hearing determined that it was appropriate to approve the emergency expenditure of $2,526.00 to cover the actual cost of electricity and repair and maintenance services for Fiscal Year 1988. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That an emergency exists in the Light Maintenance Fund for the Fiscal Year 1988, occasioned by unanticipated rises in the cost of electricity and repair and maintenance services resulting in a fund deficit of $2,526.00. SECTION II. That the City Council does hereby approve the expenditure of $2,526.00 and directs the said expended funds be drawn on emergency warrants from the Light Maintenance Fund. SECTION III. That this Resolution shall be entered upon the minutes of the Council meeting held this date and as such shall evidence compliance with Section 7-6-4252, M.C.A. PASSED BY UNANIMOUS VOTE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR THIS 6TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1988.
