Resolution 3816 - Set Public Hearing - Amend Hockaday FundRESOLUTION NO. 3816 A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE HOCKADAY SPECIAL REVENUE FUND TO PROPERLY ACCOUNT FOR FUNDS AVAILABLE IN THE FUND WHICH CAN BE EXPENDED IN THE FISCAL 1988 BUDGET. WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell in fiscal year 1988 appropriated $13,749.00 to cover the cost of the remodeling of the Hockaday Art Center; and WHEREAS, the actual expenditures incurred during the remodeling project amounted to the sum of $41,117.00; and WHEREAS, expenditures of $27,368.00 over the appropriated amount may be covered by revenue donated to the Hockaday Art Center by the Burlington Northern Corporation; and WHEREAS, the sum of $27,368.00 is available in the Hockaday Special Revenue Fund for capital outlay expenditures that was not budgeted. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the actual expenditures incurred in the Hockaday Art Center remodeling project exceeded the amount appropriated in the Hockaday Special Revenue Fund for the project by the sum of $27,368.00. SECTION II. That the Hockaday Special Revenue Fund budget may be legally amended to authorize the expenditure of $27,368.00 from revenue received from the Hockaday Art Center. SECTION III. That a Public Hearing shall be held by the City Council at 7:30 P.M. on the 6th,,day of September, 1988, at the Council Chambers, City Hall, Kalispell, Montana. SECTION IV. That at said hearing a0y taxpayer or resident of Kalispell may appear and be heardiregarding the proposed budget amendment. SECTION V. That at a meeting held at least seven (7) days subsequent to said hearing the Council may, by majority vote, amend the Hockaday Special Revenue Fund to properly account -for expenditures made as a result of unanticipated revenue in the Fund. SECTION VI. The City Clerk -Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to publish notice of the above set public hearing by publishing a copy of the Resolution together with a Notice of Public Hearing in the Daily Inter Lake, said publication to appear on time at least six (6) days prior to the hearing on the budget amendment.
