Resolution 3813 - Budget - Declares Emergency - Light MaintenanceRESOLUTION NO. 3813 A RESOLUTION DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BUDGET FOR THE LIGHT MAINTENANCE FUND TO COVER A DEFICIT IN SAID ACCOUNT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1988 AND SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING THEREON. WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell in Fiscal Year 1988 appropriated $53,508.00 to cover the cost of electricity and repair and maintenance services during said year, and WHEREAS, for reasons that could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time of appropriating said amount, the actual cost of electricity and repair and maintenance services was $56,034.00, and WHEREAS, it is estimated that $2,526.00 is required to meet the emergency, and WHEREAS, it appears that emergency warrants may properly be drawn against the Light Maintenance Fund. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS.FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That an emergency appears to exist in the Light Maintenance Fund for the Fiscal Year 1988, occasioned by unanticipated rises in the cost of electricity and repair and maintenance services resulting in a fund deficit of approximately $2,526.00. SECTION 11. That a Public Hearing shall be held by the City Council at 7:30 P.M, on the 6 th day of September, 1988, at the Council Chambers, City Hall, Kalispell, Montana. SECTION III. That at said hearing any taxpayer or resident of Kalispell may appear and be heard regarding the expenditure of money for the alleged emergency. SECTION IV. That at the conclusion of said hearing the Council may, by unanimous vote, declare an Emergency Budget Appropriation to adequately fund the Light Maintenance Fund and authorize the expenditure of necessary funds drawn on emergency warrants from the Light Maintenance Fund to meet the emergency. SECTION V. The City Clerk -Treasurer is hereby authorized and direcEed to publish notice of the above set public hearing by publishing a copy of the Resolution together with a Notice of Public Hearing in the Daily Inter Lake, said publication to appear on time at least seven (7) days prior to the time set for hearing.
