A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY OF KALISPELL SPONSORSHIP OF AMERICA'S
YOUTH CLASSIC.
WHEREAS, America's Youth Classic has utilized Woodland Park in the
City of Kalispell as a staging area and running has taken place on City
streets for 4 years, and
WHEREAS, utilization of City facilities by America's Youth Classic
has benefited the City of Kalispell by attracting approximately 800
young runners and their families to Kalispell for the 1987 race, with
anticipated participation for the 1988 race being 1,500, and
WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell feels that it is in the best interest
of the City and its residents that the America's Youth Classic continue
as an annual event in the City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Kalispell shall act as a spon-
soring agency for the America's Youth Classic.
SECTION 11. That the City's Parks Department shall have the
authority under this resolution to control, oversee and arrange
for the use of City facilities for conducting the America's
Youth Classic.

THE MAYOR THIS 6TH DAY OF JUNE, 1988.
