A RESOLUTTON TO TMPLEMENT ORDINANCE NO. 1110 (THE KALTSPELL ZONTNG
ORDINANCE)' DESTGNATTNG THE ZOiVTNG CLASSTFTCATIONS APPLICABLE WTTHTN
THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF KALTSPELL.
WHEREAS, on the 19th day of October, 1987, the- City Council of the
City of Kalispell passed Ordinance No. 1110 entitled "AN ORDTNANCE TO
PROVIDE FOR COMPREHENSIVE REVISTONS TO THE KALTSPELL ZONING ORDTNANCE,
TO PROVIDE UNIFORMITY TO CERTAIN PROCEDURES UNDER THE BOARD OF ADJUST-
MENT, CONFORM NUN-CONFORMTNG USE PROVTSIONS, REPEAL ORDTHANCES NOT --�
CONSISTENT HEREWITH, AND TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE", and
WHEREAS, Ordinance NO. 1110 reduces the number of zoning classifi-
cations within the City of Kalispell from approximately 32 to 16 by
blending zones in existence in the downtown redevelopment area with
zones applicable in areas not encompassed by the redevelopment
boundaries, and
WHEREAS, reduction in the number of zones will not result in fewer
permitted or conditional uses, nor will the reduction result in boundary
changes in the Official Zoning Map of the City of Kalispell, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is given the authority in Ordinance No.
1110 to, by resolution, apply Ordinance No. 1110 to property within
the City Limits after the Zoning Commission holds a Public Hearing on
the proposed application, and
WHEREAS, the Kalispell City -County Planning Board and Zoning
Commission held a Public Hearing on the application of Ordinance No.
1110 to property within the City Limits on December 22, 1987, and
WHEREAS, as a result of said Public Hearing the Kalispell City -County
Planning Board and Zoning Commission recommended that the name classifi-
cations of the existing zoning districts of Kalispell be changed to
reflect the text amendments of Ordinance No. 1110, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kalispell on the 7th day
of December, 1987 passed Resolution No. 3772 declaring an intention
to implement Ordinance No. 1110 at a meeting �o-be held on January 4,
1988, and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk -Treasurer in accordance with said Resolution
of Intention gave public notice of said Resolution of Intention by
publishing the same in the Daily Inter Lake on the 24th day of
December, 1987 and the 30th day of December, 1987.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CTTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the City Council of the City of Kalispell
ere y applies the zoning districts as shown in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and for purposes of this Resolution made a
part hereof which appropriately reflect the text amendments
of Ordinance No. 1110.
SECTION II. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
