CLASSTFICATTONS APPLICABLE WITHIN TUE CITY OF KALISPELL.
WIIEREAS, on the 19th day of October, 1987, the Ci�y Council of the.
City of Kalispell passed Ordinance No. 1110 enLitled ''AN ORDINANCE TO
PROVTDF, FOR COMPREHENSIVE REVISIONS TO THE KALISPELI� ZONTNG ORDTNANCE,
TO PROVTDE UNIFORMITY TO CERTAIN PROCEDURES U14DER THE BOARD OF ADJUST-
MENT, CONFORM NON -CONFORMING USE PROVTSTONS, REPEAL ORDINANCES NOT
CONSISTENT flEREWITH, AND TO PROVIDE AN EFFECTIVE DATE", and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1110 reduces- th� -niambe'r cE zonii�g classifi-
cations within the City of Kalispell from approximately 32 to 16 by
blending zones in existence in the Downtown Redevelopment Area with
zones applicable in areas not encompassed by the redevelopment bound-
aries, and
WHEREAS, reduction in number of zon0s, will not result in fewer
permitted or conditional uses, nor will the reduction result in boundary
changes in the Official Zoning Map of the City of Kalispell, and
WHEREAS, the City Council may by resolution apply Ordinance No.
1110 to property within the City Limits after the Zoning Commission
holds a public hearing on the proposed application, and
WHEREAS, the Kalispell City -County Planning Board & Zoning Commission
ha's scheduled a public hearing on the application of the Ordinance to
property within the City Limits at 4:30 P.M. on December 22, 1987,
and
WHEREAS, -follo�jing said Public Hearing the Kalispell City -County
Planning Board & Zoning Commission shall make recommendations to the
City Council concerning the zoning districts most adaptable to said
prope-rt-y and the City --Council must- consider the recommendations made
by the Zoning Commission.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council intends to take under
consideration at the meeting to be held on January 4, 1988,
the recommendations on the implementation of Ordinance No.
1110 (Kalispell Zoning Ordinance) and at said meeting shall
adopt a Resolution applying Ordinance No. 1110 to property
within the City Limits of the City of Kalispell.
SECTION II. The City Clerk -Treasurer is directed to give
notice ot the passage of this Resolution by publishLng notice
of the same, in the. Daily Inter Lake on the 23rd day of
December, 1987 and the 30th day of December, 1987.
